November is the month the public get to vote for the first NZ Made Ultimate Hero from a pool of 12 exceptional companies who have been picked by the Buy NZ Made Campaign for not only succeeding commercially domestically and
internationally,
but also are the most effective at utilising their New Zealand Made status in the process.
The list of finalists
in
the Ultimate Hero Award is an A to Z list of some of the most inspiring, successful and innovative companies operating in New Zealand today and all have excelled in their particular markets.
The criteria for being a Hero are
simple,
but encompass all areas of the business as well as their efforts in promoting their NZ Made status. Buy NZ Made Executive Director Trina Snow explained: “The Hero Awards were a new initiative where we wanted to take a close look at companies that are members of the campaign and really profile some of the excellent work they have been doing for their own companies and for brand NZ.
“The Awards have proved to be a really fascinating and revealing way to take a
high quality
snapshot of all of the key business processes that lead to success."
The 12 monthly winners have achieved notable landmarks such as increasing sales and market share over the past 12 months, for example. They may have entered new markets or won key new contracts. Employees at Hero companies enjoy their jobs and the companies may have also succeeded in employing and retaining
more domestic
staff. They are socially responsible and have made efforts to ensure their products are environmentally friendly and sustainable.
All also manufacture amazing products and all utilise the very latest techniques and technologies in their processes. And of course, all have used their NZ made status and branding to enhance and improve all of these areas of commerce.
The Ultimate Hero will be announced in the first week of December and will be chosen from the following monthly winners:
The 2017 Heroes
• Resene Paints
• Bee Kind
• Snug Bags
• Waitoa Free Range Chicken
• Pouch Products
• Pakworld
• ZingBokashi
•
Bell Booth
• Swazi Apparel
• Munch
• TranzAlpineHoney
• Carac Group
Voting is open from today to the 30th November. Visit the Ultimate Hero webpage to read their stories and vote:
