The Kiwi Trademark has undergone a few changes over the years...
Like most brands, the Buy NZ Made brand has evolved throughout the years and so has the iconic Kiwi Trademark.
The below variations are nearly all still available to licensees in various file formats to use on printed or digital material.
New Zealand Grown
2017
The New Zealand Grown trademark was refreshed to align design with the New Zealand Made trademark.
New Zealand Made Black & White
2013
In 2013, it was time for a fresh and modern design. Previous designs were consolidated into one and we launched the current trademark in Black & White and in the traditional Red & Blue. It’s still the same iconic Kiwi, in a triangle but a clear country of origin trademark that all licensees can use.

Silver and Black Trademark
2012
The Silver and Black trademark was developed from a similar 2011 version commemorating New Zealand hosting the Rugby World Cup.
Christchurch Made
2011
Following the devastating earthquakes in Christchurch, the Love Christchurch Campaign was launched, accompanied by the Christchurch Made Logo. This is free to use for all Christchurch-based companies.
Rounded New Zealand Made
2011
This rounded version of the trademark was specifically requested for by a number of licensees who liked the traditional colours but wanted a more modernised look.
Bilingual Trademark
2007
The Billingual Trademark was developed in consultation with Te Taura Whiri i te Reo Maori (Maori Language Commission) and features the words "Hokona Aotearoa Ake" literally meaning "Buy New Zealand Definitely".
NZ Grown Trademark
2007
Developed to fill the need in our agriculture, farming and seafood industries to label produce meat, fish and dairy with country of origin labelling. This trademark represents products that are 100% New Zealand Grown.
Buy New Zealand, For New Zealand
2003
Following requests for a more modernised logo, this version was launched in 2003. It was utilised by the Government-funded Buy Kiwi Made Campaign throughout their TV advertising.
New Zealand Made Gold and Black
1990s
An 'up-market' colour option was requested by a number of licensees in the 1990s and so the Black and Gold version was born.
New Zealand Made Red and Blue
1991
Another popular version of the trademark still used by a variety of licensees today who prefer the traditional look.
Buy NZ Made
1991
One of the oldest logos still in use today, this logo is used by licensees wishing to incite a call to action from their customers to "Buy NZ Made".
Buy NZ Made Icon with Kenny the Kiwi
1991
Kenny the Kiwi was created in a resurgence of the campaign in 1991. He was bought to life with a costume worn by campaign staff promoting the campaign at different events. Along with the trademark, this icon was also used advertise the resurgence of the campaign.

The original trademark for the Campaign when it started in 1988. Lots of text including the slogan "Keep Your Country Working".
